simple safety measures to keep the car up

blanket and light

destroying the exhaust copper nuts with a 'nutcracker'

took him some hours to get all nuts off the exhaust connections

trans supports are damaged too

after removing the heat shield

drive shaft out after removing 6 screws at the differential/final drive. Very difficult, I know and Take also.
After marking the parts of the drive shaft, next problem, how to get the center mount off? Solution:


damaged old mount/bearing

lifting the trans

comparison old/new parts of trans

preloading center bearing by 4-5 mms.

broken heat shield enforced

new exhaust gaskets, sealant and nuts
