Rear view camera, from Ebay

Seems to be a very well put
together camera. Metal construction and only about 3/4 to 1" in diameter

The factory navigation
system's video module has an input for a rear-view camera, used to assist in
parking the vehicle. The video module requires a ground signal in order to
switch to "Rear View" mode. The camera will be powered by a (+)12V IGN source,
located in the trunk. The ground signal for the video module and the camera will
be supplied by this 30-amp automotive relay, purchased from AutoZone. When the
vehicle is shifted into reverse, (+)12V is supplied to the back-up lights. I
will tap into this (+)12V to power the relay, which in turn triggers the video
module and switches on the camera.

Here is wiring diagram I've
created for the system's layout

Ring terminals will be used
to create solid grounds for the necessary connections

I always keep a stash of heat shrink tubing around

The soldering begins . . .
